How much is a scrap car worth in Invercargill?

Mine hasn't had a WoF in years. Does that matter?
Not for scrapping. Warrant, registration, and roadworthiness are irrelevant once a vehicle is headed for recycling. Proof that you own it is the only requirement.
What happens to the car after you take it?
Fluids drained and contained, battery and tyres out, parts with resale life pulled and catalogued, then the shell is crushed and shredded. Magnets and separators sort the metals, which are sold on to smelters. The large majority of every vehicle re-enters the supply chain as raw material.
There's still money owing on it. Can I scrap it?
